3D Modeling Brand in Motion Particle Simulating Projection Mapping
OVERVIEW
Victoria’s Secret commissioned me to create a dynamic visual experience for their London headquarters corporate event. Inspired by the “Written in the Stars” campaign, and requested to bring their London flagship store to life with visual effects. I designed motion graphics with particles, star fields, and radiant fireflies that transformed the façade into an immersive brand expression.
Deliverable
I provided several versions the one below featuring a single "star exposition" and 40 seconds of fire flies. A copy with multiple simulated star explosions with less fire fly time in-between. As well as a packaged After Effects file for the VS design team to utilize and cusotmize the experaince before event start incase adjustments became nessisary.
Concept
I was brought onto the Victoria's Secret design team to freelance visuals for a VS corporate event held at their London HQ, which also serves as a flagship store location.
The concept I was tasked with bringing to life was a large-scale wall replica of their outer building façade, mapped inside the event space with augmented motion graphics overlaid on top. Asked specifically to bring greater life to the flat building image while also following the the current campaign motif of "Written In The Stars".
Process
I handled this task by creating rough 3D models of the building's architectural features, then mapping our hero image to the model. This would give us great visualization of depth and shadows casting around the beautiful buidlings archetectural featues.
I utilized Cinema 4D, X Particles, and Octane Renderer to simulate several explosion simulations to light up the building in a beautiful glow of sparkles and sprites.
